Indian Motorcycle has released two new models for 2017 - the top-of-the-line Indian Chieftain Elite and the Chieftain Limited. Both bikes are powered by Indian's same V-stroke Thunderstroke 111 engine powering the entire Chief and Chieftain series. The v-twin makes 135 Nm of peak torque at 2100 rpm. The Chieftain Elite will be a limited edition model and only 350 of these will be sold globally. The Chieftain Elite is the result of the re-imagination of Indian Motorcycle's designers what a top-of-the-line Chieftain should look like.
The bike features a custom paint scheme completed entirely by hand at Indian Motorcycle's paint facility in South Dakota. No two Chieftain Elites look exactly the same and it takes a specialised team over 25 hours to hand paint each bike. The Chieftain Elite gets a Pathfinder LED headlight, driving lights and a flared, powered windshield. Rider and passenger floorboards are made from billet aluminium and the 200-watt sound system offers brilliant sound. The seven-inch touch screen infotainment system has customizable information displays with simple, easy to use software.
