The race for the individual championship is heating up, with Andrea Dovizioso racking up his third win of the season. With Marquez taking the pole position during the qualifiers, he maintained a steady lead until the finish line, with Dovizioso breathing down hard on his neck, ultimately the latter winning it, 0.176 seconds ahead of his rival. Jorge Lorenzo pushed both the riders hard, and neither of them had an answer to his straight line speed.

 

Dovizioso was critical about Marquez's late lunge at the last corner as a last ditch attempt to veer him off and capture the first place. If this tussle at the top was entertaining, Mr. Dependable, Dani Pedrosa was at his peak too. Picking one rider at a time, Pedrosa steadily climbed up the ladder. In one particular move, he went past the two Yamaha racers Valentino Rossi and Johann Zarco, and he completed the podium along with the duo of Marquez and Dovizioso. Top 10 of the race were:
