Moto Guzzi has revealed more details about the new V85 adventure motorcycle at 2018 Intermot. The V85 Tutto Terreno will be the first Guzzi model to utilise a new 850 cc, v-twin engine which is expected to make around 80 bhp of power.
In the V85TT, the new engine is used as a stressed member, giving the lovely steel tube trellis frame exceptional stiffness (according to Guzzi). The suspension—monoshock-sprung, asymmetric swingarm at the rear with a shaft drive and upside down forks at the front—are all adjustable and have plenty of travel for any off-road shenanigans you want to get up to. In fact, according to Moto Guzzi, the bike is definitely as much function as form and the Dakar-inspired looks are backed up by lightness, agility, and actual off-road bona fides.
Moto Guzzi has also unveiled new Sport version of their Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber, featuring oversized tyres, a lower single seat and black pipework in an attempt to look mean and moody. The Guzzi also has retro-style rubber fork gaiters, cut-down front mudguard and a lowered headlight, which is framed by a new aluminum fly screen. To help compliment the low-slung riding position, the sporty retro also gets lower drag bars, with shorter risers.
The Bobber Sport also gets adjustable Öhlins shock absorbers, meaning improved ride and handling over the standard V9 Bobber, and a slip on exhaust to beef up the engine noise.
