Yamaha has updated the 2018 Yamaha XSR900 and the 2018 Yamaha XSR700 with new colours, Racing Red and Brilliant Red respectively, in USA and Europe. There are no changes to the mechanicals.
The Racing Red colour comes with a vertical white stripe on the tank of the Yamaha XSR900. The Brilliant Red colour scheme on the Yamaha XSR700 is a darker shade than the 900’s. There’s a white stripe running along the length of the tank, with white fenders. The new colour scheme pays homage to the Yamaha XS650 of late 1960’s.
The 2018 Yamaha XSR900 continues to use the 847cc 3-cylinder DOHC engine with fuel injection and liquid cooling. It makes 115 PS of power at 10,000 rpm and 87.5 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm. The 2018 Yamaha XSR700 employs 689cc twin-cylinder DOHC mill that produces 74.8 PS at 9,000 rpm and 68 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The bikes feature a 6-speed transmission. Prices start from USD 8,499 ( Approx. Rs. 5,55,580) for the XSR700 and USD 9,499 ( Approx. Rs. 6,21,075) for the XSR900 (Ex-showroom). The XSR700 is available from this month, while the XSR900 is available from December 2017.
