Japan's Hiroki Nakamura clinched victory in race 1 of the Asia Dream Cup held at the Buddh International Circuit on Saturday,extending his lead in the championship. The Young Japanese rider took the lead initially and opened up a massive 4.430 second lead over Muhd Febriansyah and Koko Masahura as Australia's Broc Pearson crashed out at the Parabolica.
Indian flagbearers Hari Krishnan, Mathan Kumar and Rajiv Sethu take sixth,thirteenth and tenth respectively after a great battle in the midfield. Mathan Kumar's international début saw him take 4 points, Hari Krishnan meanwhile continued his good run of form at his home round.
Race two saw a feisty battle at the front which involved Sittipon Srimoontree, Hafizh Nor Azman and Broc Pearson, the Australian taking the lead at the last cornet of the race to win a close race - top 3 separated by less than a second. Meanwhile Rajiv Sethu crashed out on the first lap of the race and retired, Hari and Mathan Struggled with pace and eventually finished 11th and 15th.
Hiroki Nakamura's win In race 1 extended his championship points tally to 183, well clear of the rest of the rivals with one round to go.
