Bajaj, Hero, Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha have organised free service camps across Kerala to help rehabilitate those affected by the floods. TVS has also organized service camp in Kerala
Bajaj has organised free service camps to provide free check-up and service of flood affected Bajaj bikes from August 28 to September 4. These will be conducted at all Bajaj motorcycle dealerships in the state. The vehicle will go through a free check-up followed by engine flushing and replacing minor affected components. The cost of oil change and replacement of parts such as filters and gaskets will be waived off. Besides, Bajaj also donated Rs 2 crore to support the victims.
Hero has organised its service camps from August 28 to September 9 at all the authorised service centres in the state. The brand will not charge any fees towards the check-up and repair of Hero two-wheelers. In addition, the customers are being offered a 30 per cent discount on genuine spare parts.
Honda has also announced a free service drive and special exchange benefits, starting from August 24. The manufacturer has waived off cost of labour and engine oil on treatment of flood-affected vehicles. Honda’s mobile service vans have also been activated for reaching out to customers in remote areas. Besides, Honda has also announced a special exchange bonus of Rs 2,000 for customers in the state.
Suzuki will be conducting the service drive from August 30 to September 8 across all its service centres in Kerala. Each flood affected vehicle will be inspected for damages and brought to a road-worthy condition. The service centre will not be charging any labour costs, and the engine oil and filter will also be replaced free of cost. In case where the insurance does not cover major damage to vehicle, customers shall be offered special discount on parts. The brand has further contributed of Rs 1 crore to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
Yamaha will be conducting a month-long service camp between 30 August and 30 September. All the flood-affected Yamaha two-wheelers will be serviced and repaired at authorized network in Kerala with free labour charges, which also covers engine repair.
As a precautionary measure, it is recommended not to attempt to start the engine of a flood-affected vehicle to avoid major damage to the engine. Do fix an appointment at the authorised workshop beforehand to make it more convenient.
