The cases are available in top-box and side pannier forms and are made of black anodized aluminium. Contrasting the all-black appearance are handles and bolts finished in brushed aluminium. The top-box is priced at USD 800.28 (Rs 54,738) and has a storage capacity of 32 litres. On the other hand, the pair of side panniers cost USD 1,642 (Rs 1.12 lakhs). While the left pannier has a storage capacity of 44 litres, the right has a smaller, 36 litre capacity due to the presence of the exhaust.
BMW is offering a two-year warranty on all the Black Edition cases. While the cases will go on sale in global markets by June, we can expect it to be available in India later this year. Currently, the company offers panniers in plastic and silver aluminum options in the country. While the plastic ones cost Rs 1.40 lakhs, the alunialu cases are priced at Rs 2.35 lakhs.
