India’s biggest car customisation house, DC Design has launched a brand-new venture that will exclusively deal with motorcycles. Introducing the brand called DC2, the Pune-based customiser has launched the Carbon Shot, a limited edition series based upon the Royal Enfield Classic/Bullet. However, there’s little, except for a few classic cues, that the bike carries over from an Enfield. Quite evidently, DC, as it is famous for, has made significant changes to the design of the classic cruiser. The Carbon Shot series’ production will be limited to only 5000 units and a sum of Rs 76,000 will be charged along with the donor bike that the client has to provide, taking the total amount to Rs 2 lakh.
The features include a fat carbon fibre fuel tank, which has a dino-paw-like (trident) recess on it. The tank extends all the way under the floating saddle seat, which has integrated stop light and rear indicators. Next is the LED-projector headlamp unit with billet aluminium casing complemented by similarly carved front indicator casings. Then there’s a carbon fibre cover for the downtube along with chrome venting at the base. One can also notice the compact front fender tightly hugging the tyre. The sides flaunt two large circular chrome elements on the airbox and the locker box – which also features extensive detailing towards its rear.
The DC2 Carbon Shot will be available for booking from January 25, 2017 i.e. today, for a sum of Rs 25,000 and one can approach any DC dealership nearest to them. In case one’s city doesn’t have a DC dealership, they can call up a dealership present in the nearest city such as Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, etc. The deliveries of the customised bikes will only start in June 2017.
