Ducati has launched the Monster 797 in India for a price tag of Rs. 7.77 lakhs in India. (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings for the same have begun and deliveries will commence from next month.
Monster 797 is aimed at riders who are new to premium bikes. The Monster 797 follows the characteristic design ethos of the Monster range, albeit in a more compact package. The red-painted 10-spoke alloy wheels and redesigned exhaust muffler are distinguishing design elements from its more powerful siblings. The new bike uses the Ducati Scrambler’s 803cc air-cooled L-twin motor which churns out 75 hp of power at 8250 rpm and 68.9 Nm of torque at 5750 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and gets slipper clutch also. When it comes to electronics, the Monster 797 gets a Bosch 9.1 MP dual channel ABS system and loses out on ride-by-wire, ride modes and traction control.
