Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has launched the Multistrada 950, in India. Bookings for the same have started and deliveries will begin from next month onwards. The bike, despite being the smallest and the most affordable bike in the Multistrada family, still carries over the imposing stance that the Multistradas are known for. The bike is powered by the Hypermotard-derived 937cc liquid-cooled Testastretta L-twin engine.
The engine heads have been revised and the output stands at 113 hp of power at 9000 rpm and 96.2 Nm of torque at 7750 rpm. The powerplant is mated to a 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch. Coming to the electronics, the bike is packed with features like Ducati Traction Control (DTC), four riding modes (Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro), and switchable dual-channel ABS. The DTC offers eight levels of intervention with progressively lesser tolerance for wheelspin as the settings go higher. The DTC is also linked with the riding modes for optimum riding dynamics. The ABS comes in three levels and both DTC and ABS can be deactivated if necessary. The bike is priced at Rs. 12.60 lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
