Honda has revealed the 2018 Honda CB1000R as its new litre-class naked at EICMA 2017. The new Honda CB1000R was showcased as the Honda Neo Sports Cafe at the Tokyo Motor Show 2017 last week. The understated styling is a throwback to Honda's CB-line bikes from the early 1990s. The new Honda CB1000R shares the engine architecture with its superbike sibling, the Honda CBR1000RR. And the CB1000R upgrades go beyond skin-deep. Power is up from the 125PS on its predecessor to 145PS with torque raised to 104Nm from 98Nm.

Honda also unveiled Africa Twin Adventure at the ongoing EICMA Show in Milan, Italy. For starters, the Twin now gets a fuel tank with an increase of 5.4 litres to take the total tank capacity to 24.2 litres. This translates into a range of almost 480 kilometres. And to make the long rid comfortable for the rider, the Africa Twin Adventure will get a slightly flatter seat, giving a more upright position. The other extra features include heated grips, power socket and a taller windscreen. The Africa Twin Adventure gets a retro tricolour paint scheme which is homage of sorts to the original Africa Twin, the XVR650, from 1988.

Kawasaki has introduced the absolute manic Ninja H2 and H2R a couple of years ago and the supercharged offerings are one of the most lucrative litre-class bikes out there. Expanding its supercharged Ninja family, the company has now introduced the 2018 Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX at EICMA 2017. The new model brings supercharged technology to the sports tourer segment while sporting the same underpinnings as the H2. The new sports tourer is available in two options - Ninja H2 SX and the more feature loaded Ninja H2 SX SE.

BMW Motorrad has unveiled the F750 GS and F850 GS with a new engine, frame and suspension. Both motorcycles get an all-new 853 cc parallel-twin engine! Yes a parallel-twin instead of BMW's preferred boxer-twins. The state of tune is different on both bikes though. The engine gets a 270 degree firing order which gives it a punchy character. Also, there are two balancing shafts, which intend to keep vibrations to a minimum. The engine is mated to a six-speed unit which comes along with an anti-hopping clutch. The engine makes 93.8 bhp on the 850 and 76.4 bhp on the 750.
