Aurimas Seilius, a traveller from Kaunas, Lithuana left his job in mid 2014 to pursue his dream of travelling. A civil engineer by profession, he started his journey on July 25, 2014 from his home town and travelled to Rydzewo-Warsaw-Prague-Austria-Slovania, covering a distance of 2000km by varied means of transport. In the next leg of travel, he explored countries like Greece, Georgia, Turkey, Kyrgystan, Uzbekistan, Turkministan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Armenia, Mongolia, China, Tibet, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Nepal and India.
In India, he decided to start his journey on a bike and hence bought a second hand Royal Enfield bullet. He started his journey in August 2016 from Chennai and rode across Pune, Udaipur, Jaipur, Amritsar, Manali and Leh Ladakh. For the return journey he travelled across West Bengal, Varanasi, Agra and reached Chennai, covering a distance of 12,000+ kms. He took a flight to Malayasia, Thailand and is in Laos now.
Across the journey, he was fascinated by the rural life of people, the worship places and the enchanting views of nature. Difficult roads, riding through valleys, uneven terrain and no connectivity in the mountain were some of the hassles he faced. People of varied cultures helped him all throughout his journey and made his journey memorable. He is a rider who believes in ‘Live and Let live’,
