Elby Jolly, a young and passionate female rider has completed the 'Safar-e-Hindustan' ride, covering a distance of approx. 20,000 kms across the 29 states of India in 80 days. .A member of ROAR Lucknow, she started her ride on July 31, 2018 and completed it on October 20, 2018 on her Royal Enfield 500 cc bike.
She started riding at the age of 18 years when her father bought her the Bullet. The motivation of riding was her neighbour who had a Bullet and she craved to learn it and soon started learning on a 100 cc bike at a very young age. Royal Enfield is her first love since childhood. She rides it for her passion and it empowers her.
She started her ride from Lucknow, then moved towards North East, then towards South , then West and finally moved to North and ended her ride in Lucknow. The entire ride was planned with the help of her club ROAR Lucknow.
The purpose of her ride to make people aware that India is a safe country for women and One India Great India. She also gave the message of Wear Helmets during the course of her ride.
For safety she carried a pepper spray, first aid box, medicines, some self defence tools, puncture kit and some tools to handle bike break downs. Her riding iternarary was flexible. Her support system was very strong. Her family , relatives, neighbours, society members and her club ROAR LUCKNOW. She would definitely love to go for rides in future.
