Honda India has announced its group of four riders who will be representing India in international motorsport racing events. IDEMITSU Honda Racing India, the motorsport division of the company, has selected Rajiv Sethu and Senthil Kumar for the ARRC 2019 (Asia Road Racing Championship) along with Mohamed Mikail and Kritik Habib for TTC 2019 (Thailand Talent Cup).

Rajiv Sethu (21 yrs) and Senthil Kumar (18 yrs) will be competing astride the Honda CBR250RR at the ARRC 2019.  While Rajiv will be competing in this event for the third time, Senthil is set to make his debut in ARRC. Both the riders have won multiple titles in national and Asia-level racing events such as INMRC Pro Stock, Honda’s One Make Championship and Thai Talent Cup.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Mikhail (14 yrs) and Kritik Habib (18 yrs) will be riding the Honda NSF250R at the Thai Talent Cup 2019. Both the riders were selected from Honda India Talent Cup 2018 where they bagged top positions. They were later provided with the necessary training for honing their riding skills through Honda’s Asian rider development program.

Apart from the riders, Honda has also selected a technician, P Prabhakaran, who will be a part of Honda Asia-Dream Racing Team with Showa. This team will be competing in the newly introduced ABS1000 Superbike class in ARRC 2019.  By providing an opportunity to young Indian racers and training them for motorsport, Honda Racing India aims to prepare a rider for MotoGP championships in the coming days.
