Indian Motorcycle has launched the 2018 Indian Scout Bobber for Rs. 12.99 lakhs (Ex-showroom, pan India). The Scout Bobber, as the name suggests, is based on the Indian Scout that is already on sale in India but is stripped, darker version of the cruiser. The Bobber also gets minimal chrome for a radical new look. While the design comes from the Scout family, the Scout Bobber will also get certain mechanical tweaks.
The bike retains its retro lines, which in fact, pay homage to the stripped-down bikes from the post-war era of America. The chrome detailing has been replaced by blacked-out inserts across the bike. Other changes include new tracker-style handlebars, while the foot pegs have been pushed back by 38 mm for a more aggressive riding position. There are new blacked-out wheels that run on knobby tyres as well.
It is powered by 1131 cc twin-cylindder, liquid-cooled engine that produces about 99 bhp and 97.7 Nm of peak torque. The motor comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox and gets no changes over the standard Scout. It gets aggressive riding position and will be available in five colours - Thunder Black, Star Silver Smoke, Bronze Smoke, Indian Motorcycle Red, and Thunder Black Smoke.
