Kawasaki has launched the all-new quarter liter Versys 250 in Indonesia at IDR 61.9m (INR 3.12 lakh approx.). The entry level sports tourer has been launched in two trims, Versys 250 City and Versys 250 Tourer. The second variant is totally loaded and priced at IDR 72.7m (INR 3.66 lakh). The motorcycle looks very promising in both of its variants and returns effective levels of fuel efficiency compared to its competitors.
Versys 250 is powered by a 249 cc, twin cylinder 8-valve engine producing 34 PS at 10,500 rpm and 21.7 Nm at 10,000 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch and shares the engine with Kawasaki Z250 and Ninja 250. The design language strictly matches to that of bigger Versys motorcycles. It uses a diamond frame with conventional forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. It is expected that Kawasaki might bring the Versys-X 250 to India by the end of 2017.
