Kawasaki India has launched the new Z900 in India.  The Z900 replaces the popular Z800 and is priced at Rs 9 lakh with accessories (Ex-showroom Delhi). Kawasaki also showcased the Ninja 300 and Versys 650 with new colours which have been priced at Rs 3.64 lakh and Rs 6.60 lakh respectively (Ex-showroom, Delhi) . Kawasaki also announced that all the new motorcycles will get optional accessories including Akrapovic exhaust system.
The Z900 gets a sharper design which bears significant resemblance to its bigger sibling, the Z1000. Internationally, the motorcycle is built around a high tensile Trellis frame, powered by a 948cc in-line four cylinder engine which produces 125PS @ 9500rpm and a peak torque of 98.6Nm @ 7700rpm, mated to a 6-speed transmission. The motorcycle gets slipper clutch, ABS and a segment first all-LED headlamp. It weighs 20 kg lesser than the outgoing Z800. Braking duties are handled by dual 300mm petal-type rotors with four-piston calipers at the front and a single 250mm petal-type rotor with single-piston caliper at the rear.
