Popular Fuel Injection Bikes in India

With the shift to BS- VI emission norms in 2020, sale of fuel injection bikes In India have gained momentum. Fuel injected bikes are much more fuel efficient due to better fuel delivery and have smoother running engine too. They can surely help in controlling the pollution levels in cities. 

Which are the popular fuel injected bikes in India?


1. Mahindra Mojo XT300
Priced at Rs. 1.86 lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi), it is the flagship product of Mahindra two-wheelers. It is a long distance touring bike that comes with dual exhausts, Pirelli tyres and a comfortable seat. The motorcycle is powered by  295cc, single cylinder fuel injected engine that produces a maximum of 27 Bhp and peak torque of 30 Nm. The engine also gets liquid cooling.
2. Royal Enfield Himalayan FI
Priced at Rs. 1.67 lakhs ( Ex-showroom, Delhi). Royal Enfield Himalayan is one of the cheapest adventure bikes.  The bike gets many off-road specific features like onboard digital compass, panniers as wellas fuel injection. The fuel injection system the Himalayan is an open loop system that does not get an O2 sensor that means the fuelling does not get changed when it reaches higher altitudes. It is powered by a 411cc, single-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 24.5 Bhp and peak torque of 32 Nm. 
3. KTM Duke 200
Priced at Rs. 1.65 lakhs ( Ex-showroom, Delhi), the performance naked bike has a very high revving engine and is prefered by many enthusiasts due to the way it looks and performs. The KTM 200 Duke is powered by 199.5cc single-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 24.6 Bhp and 19.2 Nm. The bike gets 6-speed gearbox. 
4. Bajaj Dominor 
Priced at Rs. 1.42 lakh ( Ex-showroom, Delhi),  Bajaj Dominar is a long-distance bike is known for its value for money and gets a number of features. It is powered by a modified version of the 373.3cc KTM engine that powers the 390 Duke. The engine generates a maximum power of 34.5 Bhp and peak torque of 35 Nm.
5. Yamaha FZ-25
Priced at Rs. 1.27 lakhs ( Ex-showroom, Delhi), Yamaha launched FZ-25 last year in India and the bike has already gained much popularity due to its good looks and practicality. The bike is powered by a single-cylinder 249cc engine that generates a maximum power of 10.6 Bhp and peak torque of 20 Nm. The FZ25 is quite quick too. As per ARAI figures, the bike returns a maximum of 43 km/l. The Fazer 25, which is a faired version of the FZ 25 also features fuel injection. 
6. Yamaha YZF-R15
Yaamha launched the much awaited YZF - R15 at 2018 Auto Expo. The bike gets an all-new fairing, new console and an all-new engine too. The 155cc fuel injected engine produces a maximum power of 19.1 Bhp and peak torque of 14.7 Nm. The liquid-cooled engine is mated to a six-speed transmission. The YZF-R15 is known as a performance bike and it sure has all the features to keep the enthusiasts happy. 
7. TVS Apache RTR 200 FI

Priced at Rs. 1.06 lakhs ( Ex-showroom, Delhi),  
TVS Apache RTR 200 was a flagship model of TVS for a long time. The naked motorcycle looks very aggressive with fuel tank extensions, raised tail section and a contoured headlamp. The RTR 200 Fi is powered by a 198cc, single-cylinder engine that gets four-valves. The fuel injected engine produces 0.5 Bhp more power than the regular version. The engine has an output of 20.7 Bhp and 18.1 Nm. 
8. ATVS Apache RTR 160 FI
The new Apache RTR 160 is based on the Draken concept and also takes inspiration from the race-spec TVS Apache bike.  Apache RTR 160 Carb & FI is priced at Rs. 89,990 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The fuel injected mill is good for churning out 16.5 bhp of power and 14.8 Nm of torque. 


9. Suzuki Gixxer SF FI 


Priced at Rs. 1.05 lakhs (Ex- showroom, Delhi)  Suzuki recently launched the fuel injected version of the Gixxer FI in India. The Gixxer SF gets a single-piece handlebar and is very comfortable on the highways too. The bike is powered by the fuel injected 155cc carbureted engine from the that produces maximum power of 14.6 Bhp and peak torque of 14 Nm. The engine returns a maximum of 48 km/l. 




10. Yamaha FZ -FI


Priced at Rs, 81040 (Ex-showroom, Delhi ), Yamaha FZ-FI is a massively popular motorcycle in India. The heavy creases on the bike mixed with a smooth engine have gained it a lot of fans and owners. The FZ is the cheapest Yamaha bike to get fuel injection. It is powered by a single cylinder 149cc engine that generates a maximum power of 12.9 Bhp and peak torque of 12.8 Nm. The fuel injected engine returns a maximum of 50 km/l.




11. Hero Glamour FI


Priced at Rs, 66,921 (Ex-showroom, Delhi),  Hero Glamour FI is the cheapest fuel injected motorcycle available in India right now. The Glamour FI is for the daily commuters who look for performance and power. The bike also has extensive body graphics that makes it distinctive among the 125cc bikes.



12. Suzuki Intruder 150 Fi


Priced at Rs 1,06,896 (Ex- showroom, Delhi), powering the Intruder 150 is a 155cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine. This mill still puts out the same amount of power: 14.8PS at 8000rpm and 14Nm of torque at 6000rpm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. With the addition of Fi, we expect the power delivery on the motorcycle to be a lot smoother.



With more and more manfacturers launching fuel injection bikes in the cming months, buyers will have a variety of options to choose from.
