The Raid De Himalaya has ruled the rally scene of India since 1999. Touted as one of the toughest rallies on the rally calendar given its location, the gruelling rally recently concluded its 17th edition and saw 167 entries, 41 in Xtreme four-wheeler, 76 in Xtreme two-wheeler and 50 in the adventure category.

The highlights of the 17th Raid De Himalaya include 2 teenaged riders aged 17, Shiana, from Mumbai, who rode her Mahindra Rodeo scooter while Sara on a Royal Enfield. A Class XII student, Shiana is among the 75 bikers in the two-wheeler section in Xtreme category of Raid de Himalaya, according to a PTI report. The 17th edition also saw a new addition in the gruelling 2,200km rally to the Bhadrawa of Jammu and Kashmir passing through the recently opened Paddri Gali pass which also leads to a 66 km patch on the ridge between Drass and Kargil, as per PTI.

Arvind KP was declared as the clear provisional winner followed closely by Natraj R grabbing second place and Saurabh Moudghil securing the third position.In the bike category, Arvind KP emerged as the clear provisional winner, with 2015 Dakshin Dare runner-up Natraj R finishing second. Former four-time winner Ashish Saurabh Moudghil completed the podium.
