Bajaj has teased the 2017 Pulsar range. While the main motive behind this update was to make the range BS IV compliant, Bajaj has also added new paint schemes and few cosmetic updates.
The Pulsar 180 DTS-i and Pulsar 220F have been spotted at dealerships before sporting a new red/black paint scheme, and we can expect the same for the smaller Pulsar 150 DTS-i. These bikes also get a blue backlit instrument cluster. The Pulsar 180 DTS-i also features a ByBre rear disc brake, which should bring it on par with its rival – the Apache RTR 180.
All three DTS-i engines are now BS IV compliant. Power output is identical to the outgoing models, the 150 DTS-i produces 15bhp and 12Nm of torque, the 180 DTS-i produces 17bhp and 14Nm of torque while the 220 DTS-i is good for 21bhp and 19Nm of torque. All three engines are mated to five-speed transmissions. Bajaj has been tight-lipped about the launch dates. Nevertheless, considering that the motorcycles have already been spotted at dealerships, we can expect these to be introduced before the end of this year. Select dealerships have already started accepted bookings for these bikes for a token amount of Rs 1,000.
