Throttle supported Event – Vibhaya Ride

Vibhaya Ride - The Ride on creating awareness relating to emergency response preparednesss, more specifically to accidents occurring on the road was held on December 18, 2016 in association with Biking It To Create Happiness (B.I.T.C.H.) for which Throttle was the concept and registration partner.  The event saw a participation of 200+ bikers and the 35+ km ride started from Parle G Road, Neelamangala, Bengaluru and ended at Kamath Upachar, Dobbaspet, Bengaluru.



The event saw a huge gathering of dignitaries and bikers from various biking clubs in Bangalore who came forward to understand this noble concept. Colonel (Retd.) Dr. Mukul Saxena, who set up the "108 Ambulance" service spoke about Emergency Preparedness and Risk Recognition, how to manage emergencies and be a life saver, and demonstrated techniques to help save lives like CPR, etc. He also educated the biker fraternity on Posture & Ergonomics and how to deal with emergency situations faced by bikers. The event also had the presence of traffic police that was represented by Senior Inspector Ramesh who addressed the bikers on the importance of such awareness that can help the law protectors to manage road safety and save lives of thousands of those victims who fall prey to accidents and emergencies.



Present for the occasion were Deepak Kamath - along with his companion G.H Basavaraj who created history in 1994/95 by becoming the first Indians to circumnavigate the globe in record time on an Indian bike for  their ride titled 'The Yezdi Castrol Continental Raid'.  He interacted with bikers and gave some useful tips for night riding. Balaji Mohan , who holds the India book of record for completing K2K & GQ in shortest time also addressed the bikers. Esha Gupta, who is India, Asia & Limca book of record holder under the Title - " Longest Journey on motorcycle in a single country- Female " spoke about riding safely on roads.
