British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph, has been enjoying some great success in the Indian market. With a range of bikes built for different purposes, Triumph offers a bike for every enthusiast.
Buying these machines new though is a heavy on the wallet affair for young buyers. Also, for existing owners who wish to upgrade, this is a great avenue instead of trying to find a new owner on their own. To make it easy for both, Triumph is entering the pre-owned motorcycle business. The company will use its existing dealership network to sell these motorcycles. Not only that, but the company will also service and refurbish the motorcycles themselves before passing it on the next owner. Customers too will get complete peace of mind as their bikes would have been serviced and taken care of by the best before they take home a piece of British engineering. The icing on the cake is the fact that Triumph will offer a company backed warranty on every pre-owned motorcycle they sell.
This would aim to bring the entry point of the brand much lower than what is now. These bikes tend to depreciate quite a lot, and one can obtain a pre-owned, 2-year-old motorcycle for as much as 30% less than the cost of a brand new one. Moreover, motorcycles older than 5 years, would be more affordable for younger, new buyers, who would love to own British motoring classic without having to rob a bank. Triumph will start these operations across all of it 16 dealerships by the month of August this year. The brand is yet to announce the warranty period they will offer in the pre-owned motorcycles.
