The highly anticipated TVS Apache RR 310 (Akula) is launched in India for Rs. 2,05,000 ( Ex-Showroom, Delhi). Akula in Sanskrit means 'Transcendental' and this sporty bike can take you to a different level of biking. With a compact engine, the streamlined shaped bike is quick and agile. It was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo held in Greater Noida as the Akula concept and is based on the BMW G 310 R, sharing the same engine and frame.
The bike is powered by a 313 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 34 bhp @ 9500 rpm and churns out a peak torque of 28 Nm @ 7500 rpm. It is the first ever Indian bike with reverse inclined engine. The power will be transferred to the wheels via a six-speed transmission and a final chain drive. Other features include Bi LED projector headlamps, light weight trellis frame, aluminium die-cast swingarm and KYB race tuned suspension. The bike comes with dual disc brakes for a more responsive braking. Additionally it comes with dual channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), side stand alarm, vertical speedometer and hazard lamps. It will come in two colours, namely Racing Red and Sinister Black. and will be avialble by month end. The company has also announced RR Cup with race spec 310RR.
