The EICMA 2015 has been a wonderful event for motorcycle enthusiasts and manufacturers worldwide as well as those who were physically present at the show reason being the countless unveils, showcases and launches of what men like the most, motorcycles and the things that revolve around them.
An example of one such unveil is that of Victory’s Ignition, a concept which, wait for it, and represents the future of Victory Motorcycles’ production machines’ as told by the company!
Victory Motorcycles is a subsidiary company of Polaris Industries which manufacturers V-twin engines and touring, sport-touring, and cruiser configuration motorcycles.
The Victory Ignition sticks to the American brand’s motto, “The New American Motorcycle” in terms of design and appearance. It is based on “Project 156”, a race bike built to compete in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb for the year 2015. The paint scheme is inspired from the aggressive Project 156 paint scheme making the bike look meaner and all about performance.
Designed along with Swiss custom builder and drag racing champion Urs Erbache and around the liquid-cooled, sub-1,200 cc, double-overhead-cam, four-valve-per-cylinder, 60-degree V-twin.engine that powered the Project 156, with a small change. This fire-breathing engine will be tuned to put down class-leading power and I that’s reassuring the enthusiasts that Victory engines is not the average manufacturer sticking to its roots but is experimenting.
The Ignition will be further unveiled at the International Motorcycle Show on the 11th of December, 2015 in New York, USA.
