Yamaha is set to equip R15 V3 with dual channel ABS soon. The R15 V3 ABS will see a price increment of around Rs. 12,000/- with dual channel ABS and the non-ABS model will be discontinued by April 2019.
Single-channel ABS is cost effective but some companies are charging dual channel ABS money for single channel ABS. There is no two ways about it, dual channel ABS is more apt and offers the real safety net of ABS, unlike the single channel unit which only works on the front wheel and can’t prevent a rear wheel lock up. Yamaha has still npt confirmed whether the FZ will be equipped with single or dual channel ABS.
